Tartan Love

Tartan seems to be one trend that is not going anywhere. Whether it is paired with shorts, tied around your waist or jeans, the item will always be a fashion favourite. Tartan can be worn by anyone but should of course be worn right. If not styled properly it can tend to look more masculine than intended as well as tending to have a sexy school girl look.

Rihanna is one of a kind. Nothing looks bad on her. If some of her outfits were worn by someone else, it would be a fashion disaster. But since it's her, everything just looks cool. I mean, who can rock baggy pants the way she does and still look feminine? And the camouflage and prints? Rihanna is just in her own league when it comes to style.

Harmonizers Unite!

I cannot even describe how big of a fifth harmony fan I am. I swear, whenever they perform anywhere, I'm always one of the first people to go on Youtube and watch. I am so excited for their new EP!

I have listened to it so many times that I know the lyrics to all of their songs. I was not really impressed with Miss Movin On. I felt like they could do better. Luckily for me, they didn't disappoint The rest of the songs on the EP are beyond amazing.Their next single is 'Better Together.' I have to say I'm super keen for it to come out because it's my favourite track on the EP and it's likely to have chart success. 'Who Are You' is also one of their best tracks. I'm really glad they went for a more urban sound and not just pure pop.

I'm hoping for the best for the girls. I'm so proud of them. I don't remember the last time I've supported a group as much I've supported them since they got together on the X-Factor.

Not Orlando & Miranda!

Aaaaaargh! I hate Hollywood and their short marriages! Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr just announced that they have been separated for a few months now. I suppose I should be used to this but it's Orlando & Miranda! They're perfect together and they have the most adorable son together :'(

At least it seems as if they are still close and have remained friends. I'm really sad to see them separate but I wish them all the best.

Let's Dine at Suikerbossie

I may not like res very much most of the time but I have to say formal season is always my favourite time of the year. Girls dress up in their finest dos while the gentlemen get all suave and handsome. My first two years at UCT, I always just assumed that self-catering residences don't have formals. As a result, I was widely surprised when I heard that my res was going to host one. I wasn't going to go initially but so many of my friends were going so I decided that I might as well.

We went to Suikerbossie where we were treated to a three-course meal and a later lively atmosphere filled with laughter, dance and socializing. I can't wait to go to my next res formal next year!

A day at the beach

Right before the start of exams, my cousin and I went out for lunch at Caprice. The weather was beautiful and we couldn't resist taking some time out just to relax and enjoy the sun. Good thing we did that too, because on top of being busy due to exams, the weather in Cape Town became very unpredictable. We had so much fun just hanging around Camps Bay and taking pictures of the lovely view. I hope I'll have a chance to go back after my last exam before I go home :)
